Montréal, hiver 2002. Stéphane, 19 ans, fan de Métal, étudiant en
graphisme rêve de devenir illustrateur. Mais depuis des mois il
s’engouffre dans une spirale menaçante :
il est accro aux jeux.
Endetté, sans appartement, évitant ses amis à qui il doit de l’argent,
Stéphane prend un job de plongeur dans un restaurant afin de s’en
sortir. Il découvre la vie survoltée d’un restaurant à l’approche des
fêtes et sa galerie de per
sonnages.

studying graphic design and dreams of becoming an illustrator. But
in the past few months, he has been spiraling down a dangerous
path: he has become addicted to gambling. Homeless, avoiding what
remains of his friends and in major debt, he takes a job as a dishwasher in a popular restaurant. That job becomes his salvation as, in the weeks leading up to Christmas,
he discovers and befriends the c olorful characters who work at La Trattoria.
