It's difficult to summarize the first twenty years of Daniel Boucher 's career on a single album. Identify the journey, wild and loose, of the author-composer. Open the door afterwards, too.
We had to choose.
So we went towards the big tunes.
Most of the big songs, in fact.
Because in the case of Daniel Boucher , the expression “grosse toune” is open to all kinds of interpretations.
But we did a first, heartbreaking sorting.
Daniel likes his songs long.
The result, for a vinyl, was tight.
It was necessary, again, to cut.
Here is our selection of the cream of the crop... In our very humble opinion.

For the first time in physical format in many moons, the song Chez nous .
And a new one, The Party Cakes , the one which most represents the Daniel of 2019, fulfilled dad, musician closer and closer to himself, constantly learning, less and less inclined to commercial compromises...
Which, in his case, is saying something.
So it appears to us, on the top of the cover, displaying the same expression, both in 1999 and in 2019.
