Collection: Anne Bisson
A multifaceted artist, first known as a charismatic and endearing television personality, Anne Bisson has devoted herself for several years to her first passion: music. A pianist since childhood, she won the prestigious Étoiles Du Maurier competition in 1984 thanks to two of her original compositions. Two years later, she successfully played the character of Cristal in the popular rock opera Starmania in a brand new version created especially for the Lanaudière Summer Festival.
After more than twenty years of a career rich in experiences of all kinds, Anne Bisson returned to her first love, jazz, and launched the album Blue Mind (2009), composed of her own musical creations, with her accomplices Normand Guilbeault on double bass and Paul Brochu on drums. The critics are unanimous: Anne Bisson is made for jazz!
She did it again in 2011 with Portraits & Perfumes , an opus including jazz standards (How insensitive, The Nearness of you) in more extensive arrangements, even exploded, an original cover of Us and Them by Pink Floyd as well as original pieces written by Anne Bisson, all directed by Guy St-Onge.
On stage, have we rarely seen an artist accompanying herself and performing jazz with such ease! His colorful personality, his contagious energy and his obvious love for music, combined with delicious anecdotes about the shortcomings of life, make each of his shows a unique and memorable moment!
