Mary-Jane “MJ” Morris is a disheveled former US pro snowboarder who's taken residence in a small mountain village in Haute-Gaspésie, Quebec. After a deadly drunk driving accident takes the lives of her best friend's loved ones, MJ wanders through her cabin, crushed under the weight of the tragedy and of the part she played in it. She makes a few strenuous attempts to clean up her act and make amends, but when things don't go her way, she decides to pack up her belongings and leave town for good. Unbeknownst to MJ, this marks the beginning of her descent into hell. Unexplained phenomena challenge her grasp on reality and she begins to question everything and everyone around her. Fearing for her life, and sanity, MJ must find a way to face out the truth and deal with its consequences. |
