BIOGRAPHY
The Barachois group is the ambassador par excellence of Acadian music from Prince Edward Island. In recent years, this group has traveled the roads of the Atlantic provinces and Quebec and has made several tours in European countries. Appreciated by both French-speaking and English-speaking audiences, Barachois received the French-speaking album of the year award in 1997 from the East Coast Music Awards. These four excellent musicians, all from Arsenault, present 13 lively songs on this album. The harmony of the voices, the violin, the tapping of the feet, the harp, the jigs, the guitars, gives you the impression of participating in an evening in a kitchen, warm near the fire, somewhere in the Prince Edward Island. You can't help but tap your foot while listening to Barachois.
