The Boppers is a jazz collective founded in 1998 by trombonist and composer Benoit Gagné. In 1998, the group released their self-titled debut album. In 2011, thanks to the support of Disques BG, Les Boppers came together for a tour of twenty-two shows across Quebec. Following this success, Benoit Gagné decided to compose new pieces. This new show pays homage to a defining era of jazz, which saw great musicians such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Jay Jay Johnson and many others lay the foundations of this exciting music. Let yourself be transported into the atmosphere of the smoky New York bars of the 1950s with Benoit Gagné on trombone, André Leroux on saxophone, Roger Walls on trumpet, Jean Cyr on double bass, Vincent Ravary on drums and Éric St-Jean at the piano.
